Entry period: NextStudent’s “Rock My Grad Party” Contest (the "Contest") begins at 8 a.m. Mountain Standard Time ("MST") on March 24, 2007, and ends at 4:59 p.m. MST May 4, 2007.
Eligibility: The Contest is open to all high schools and high school students within the following Phoenix metro area School Districts: Gilbert Unified School District, Chandler Unified School District, Fountain Hills Unified School District, Phoenix Union High School District Cave Creek Unified School District, Apache Junction Unified School District, Deer Valley Unified School District, Paradise Valley Unified School District, Queen Creek Unified School District, Tempe Union High School District, Dysart Unified School District Peoria Unified School District. Only current students with a valid email address from participating high schools are eligible to win the laptop computer. Student status will be verified before prizes are awarded. Participants must also have cookies enabled so that proper tracking can occur. Family members of NextStudent Inc. employees may participate on behalf of their high school; however they are not eligible to win the laptop computer. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
How to enter: Current students of participating high schools can register on the contest website: www.rockmygradnight.com to obtain an individual script which can then be placed on any personal website and will be used to track entry into the personal contest to win a laptop computer. Please note: only one registration is allowed per student and the winning student does not need to attend the winning high school; however the winning student must be an active student at a participating high school. Cookies will need to be enabled in order to allow us to properly track usage. Once the links are in place, individuals will be encouraged to click on the link as often as they wish. There is no limit to the amount of times a link can be clicked.
The winning high school will be determined by the aggregate number of votes its respective students receive from their personal web pages. The school with the highest aggregate number of votes received by its students will be the winner.
Prize(s): One high school and one individual student will be chosen as the winner dependent entirely upon the amount of traffic to the Contest landing page that they generated. Traffic will be tracked by internal database as well as by Google analytics.
The winning high school will receive a $5,000 check from NextStudent to be used to help fund their 2007 Senior Party. The winning student will receive a new laptop computer. Prizes may not be substituted except by Sponsor, who reserves the right to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value. All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. 1099 tax statements will be filed with the IRS for the winner of any prize. Prizes will be awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Prizes cannot be transferred, substituted, or redeemed for cash, except by Sponsor in its sole discretion. A list of prize winners can be obtained from NextStudent, from April 30, 2007, through December 31, 2007, by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to NextStudent Inc. c/o Web Marketing Dept. 19601 North Black Canyon Highway, Phoenix, AZ. 85027.
Claiming a prize: Winners will be notified via e-mail, within 10 days following the end of the contest, at the e-mail addresses that they provided with their entries. All prizes must be claimed within 15 days. To claim their prize, winners must respond to NextStudent's prize notification e-mail and complete the Affidavit and General Release and W-9 form included with such e-mail. All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited and awarded to the next highest traffic source.
General conditions: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of NextStudent Inc., which will be final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. Except where prohibited by law, by entering the Contest, each entrant and the winning school agrees that Sponsor and its designees may use his or her name, likeness, city, and state for advertising, promotional, and other purposes in any media now or hereafter known throughout the world (including the right to post entry on Sponsor's Web sites) without further compensation or notification. Neither Sponsor, nor its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, advertising, and promotion agencies, or the respective officers, directors, employees, or agents of the foregoing (collectively, the "Released Parties") are responsible for (i) any injury, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in this Contest or acceptance, possession or use of the any prize; or (ii) any warranty, representation, or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition, or fitness. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest, and judge entries from among all eligible, nonsuspect entries received prior to such action. Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, NEXTSTUDENT INC. RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Privacy: When you visit the NextStudent Contest website, some information, such as your IP address, NextStudent cookie information, session time, click path analysis, your domain name, browser type, referral information and the pages you request, may be collected automatically. This information is used solely for the purpose of monitoring the traffic for the benefit of the Contest. In no case will NextStudent, Inc. use personally identifying information for its own use or the use of any other party, except to provide the services you request or as required by law. NextStudent will not sell or otherwise share personally identifying information with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide services to you at your request, or as required by law.
We do not rent, share, or exchange our customers’ email addresses. Email addresses voluntarily given to us or collected from email comments are never shared. We do use these addresses for our own electronic marketing purposes, but only with your consent. If you choose not to receive email from us please let us know, and we will happily remove your address from our email list.
